3. The area to be treated should be shaved (with a razor) prior to every appointment (only if hair is present).

Post Treatment
Depending on your skin and hair type, your skin may feel like you had a minor sunburn, most feel nothing post treatment. It’s important not to expose the treated area to heat (hot showers, sauna, hot tub etc). Avoid sun exposure for at least 7 days post treatment and use sunscreen SPF 60 or higher if sun exposure can’t be avoided.
As your treated area heals, any dark spots and pigments will initially turn darker, over a period of two weeks, the pigments will push to the surface of the skin. Clients often describe it as “coffee grounds” that flake off. Under no circumstances should you rub or exfoliate the area, let the skin heal on it’s on. A good collagen gel or moisturizer can also be beneficial in speeding up the process. Do not use any harsh/acid based cleansers or lotions.
