Waxing uses a resin-based wax that is applied to the area being treated for Hair Removal. Once the area is covered a special wax strip is applied over the wax and is pulled opposite the direction the hair grows. The strip pulls the wax, the wax pulls the hair and presto, hair is gone.
Advantages of Waxing?
Unlike threading or tweezing, waxing can be done to large area rather quickly. Although not as fast as shaving, most customers report waxing is less irritation to the skin then shaving. Overtime waxing may slow down hair growth and produce very fine hair unlike shaving. The area that is treated can be hair free for up to 6 weeks.
Disadvantages of Waxing?
You need to let your hair grow before waxing. Waxing requires about 3-4 weeks before a treatment can be done. Proper waxing technique is required to get the best results, if the entire hair follicle is not removed from the root, the hair will grow back much quicker.
